One emergency grant of £199 was agreed for the successful purchase at auction by Hampshire Record Office of an album of photographs relating to the First World War Red Cross Auxiliary Hospital in 4 The Close, Winchester, and Preshaw House. It includes photographs of soldiers who were patients, and nursing staff, at hospital, with some showing patients at Preshaw House, Exton (formerly Corhampton), 1915-1919. Most of the patients and staff are identified at least by surname, and it is believed that the album was compiled by the Baxendale family of Preshaw House, given that it contains several photographs showing women, seen both in nursing uniform and in civilian dress, identified only by initials as DB and MB. It is now in Hampshire Record Office with the reference number 63A23
