Micheldever Station

HAT has awarded £500 to support events at Micheldever Station to celebrate the Community created by the Railway. Tthere will be a 2 day event 10-11 May 2025 at the Warren Centre and HAT’s contribution is towards an Information Board highlighting the natural and cultural heritage resulting from the construction of the Railway.

The Board will be historically accurate and accessible to children and adults to make available to everybody the information gathered as a result of Railway200

2025 is designated Railway200.  This celebrates 200 years since the Railway was invented.  This has been the catalyst for the Micheldever Station community to consider the significance of the arrival of the railway upon the natural environment of this area of Hampshire’s chalk down-land.

The Warren Centre at was set up in 1971 as the Micheldever Station Community and Recreation Centre charity to foster education, sport and social events for this small rural community catering for all ages and involving all members of the local community.  Now it continues to serve as the social and cultural hub of this community.  As the population gradually expands the Warren Centre provides opportunity for everybody to meet, and participate in social activities to become comfortable in this environment.
