This is a history of Grayshott during WW2, with a collection of contemporary and current villagers’ memories and stories, and based on Grayshott Heritage archive material, eye-witness accounts, interviews and other local sources. It will be released on the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2, VJ Day, 15th August 2025.
The whole project cost is £1798 with HAT providing £500, which will be mainly towards printing costs
Grayshott Heritage research, document, archive, present, publish and educate upon village history – Grayshott and its immediate surroundings. They were formed in 2000, so in this year (2025) they are 25 years old and currently have about 100 members, including a management committee of 7.
