Gosport Museum of the Sea document scanning

This ambitious project seeks to create a digital Gosport Museum of the Sea. It has as its aims:

-Creating a digital archive of the many non-military connections that Gosport has with the sea.

-Creating access to that archive online and at exhibitions

-Creating content explaining all the connected stories in the archive.

HAT has awarded £385 to assist with document scanning of larger items towards creating this digital archive.

The intention is to reveal a part of Gosport’s history and heritage that is not well known, both to the residents and beyond.
