Grant to Milford on Sea Historical Society – Cornwallis Remembered

The Trust has awarded £2600 which completes the amount (£23,600) the Society needed to raise to deliver the exhibition commemorating the 200th anniversary of the death of Admiral Sir William Cornwallis.

Admiral Sir William Cornwallis, a resident of Milford on Sea, is to be commemorated in a major exhibition at St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery in Lymington between 4 June and 31 August 2019.

Cornwallis was the architect of the blockade of Brest and the victory at Trafalgar.
