6.4.2.18g1-Shurlock-05-02-20-pic-2L-to-R-Stephen-Burgess-Brian-Middleton-Adrienne-Allen-1-1024x768

Littleton resident Brian Middleton has completed a study of sources of information on the Flowerdown Military Base, scheduled to close in 2024. It follows the long history of the site from 1912 as a wireless school for the RFC and RAF and later a listening station, with links to Bletchley Park.

With the help of HAT, his work was recently accepted for deposit at the HRO, with finding reference 11A20/1. Seen here is archivist Adrienne Allen, with Brian Middleton (right) and Stephen Burgess, Chairman of the Littleton and Harestock Parish Council. The full story can be found here.
