The HAT Calendar Project

Hampshire Archives Trust diamond

Hampshire Archives Trust has been progressing a website calendar covering Hampshire wide history events. This was to have been launched at the Community Archives Forum event, scheduled for March 21st, and postponed due to coronavirus restrictions.

The calendar was developed in response to a need for local history groups and societies to be able to publicise the many excellent events put on by their groups, but of wider interest than that of their own membership.

The aim of the HAT calendar is to feature all the meetings and other events – visits, discussion forums etc – which cover Hampshire local history and heritage. Hampshire Archives Trust has contacted over one hundred local history and other heritage societies in order to create this “one-stop” shop where those interested in Hampshire history and heritage can access details of the many excellent events put on by these groups.

More details will be released as it becomes possible for local history and other societies to be able to schedule events with some degree of certainty. Any society who may be interested in using this publicity channel is invited to contact the Hampshire Archives Trust website coordinator website.coordinator@hampshirearchivestrust.co.uk
