The Warsash Local History Group want to bring together the history of the estate in one publication and have asked for £500 towards the cost of making this happen, which HAT has agreed to fund. The book will give a detailed history of the estate and its occupants which was central to village life for around 150 years.
The Group is a local history society, formed in 1998 with the aim to research and promote interest in all aspects of the local history of Warsash and the surrounding area. To date they have researched and published 7 books on local history and numerous short articles generally published in their magazine
The award is subject to the Group raising the residue of the money needed.
