  • Born 1940
  • Graduated in Physics . Spent 2 years designing guided missiles
  • After post grad management degree moved to Esso with roles in marketing, sales, press relations, finance and management.
  • Left to set up own training company specialising in open and distance learning – sold in 1998.
  • Subsequently part time management consultancy and motorsport management
  • Researched own house in Headbourne Worthy, which proved to have a stone chimney made from recycled stone from Hyde Abbey
  • Currently lead trustee of Hyde900 covering the history of Hyde Abbey, and organiser of the three Hyde900 community digs 2016-18 , focussing in particular on the cloister buildings of the abbey.
  • Trustee of Hampshire Archives Trust responsible for the HAT website
  • Committee member of WARG and WARG dig committee.
